It has arrived.  The time has come.  The end of summer.  The end of vacation.  It seems to some it is the end of all things, but I see it a little differently.

The end of summer means the start of school!

The start of school means the start of fall programs at our church!

The start of fall programs means even more opportunities to interact with junior high students!

I love to see junior high students go back to school.  I love that all the fun and excitement of summer activities leads us back to this point.  Back To School!

This is when everything we learned at Church Camp, CIY, and Mission Trips can be put into practice.  What good does it do to learn about evangelism if you don’t practice what you have learned.  There is no bigger mission field than the one our students walk into every day at school.

I hope this is nothing new for you.  I hope this concept is one you talk about all the time.  I hope you encourage your junior high students to make a difference in there school every year.

If you don’t already do this, then please start now.  Many times our students can feel like Christianity is something they learn about for when they are adults, but this is not true.  We teach students about being Christian so that they can live a Christian life now!  There is no time to wait, so enjoy the extra time we get to spend with our students during the school year.

Understand that if you challenge them to try something out, they can go and try it out the very next day at school.  I know all of our students won’t try everything out, but we need to teach and preach as if they will.  Give them the challenge.  Encourage them along the way.  Show them the Love of God!

Back to School is exciting and I can’t wait to share this year with you.  This truly is the start of something new and great.  Thanks for being a part of it!
