Here’s an awesome game for your junior high ministry – The Purge.

Watch the video to see students playing the game…FUN 🙂

How to Play

  • Give every person a balloon.
  • Give 30 seconds to make strategies and alliances.
  • Last balloon un-popped wins.
  • No rules.
  • When your balloon pops, you must fall.

Enjoy!

Please change the name of this game. The association with the Purge movie isn’t a good thing. It’s disturbing that someone thought that piggybacking onto the Purge movie franchise for a student ministry game was a good idea :-/

Hi Ed, I see your point. Probably best to just name it something else if you use it in your youth group. Didn’t mean to offend or disturb anyone. We actually didn’t create the video. We just embeded it on our website. Fun game though.

Not sure what the lesson of the game is – as a teacher , mom and Christian I am disturbed deeply by the idea and name of this game. We should not be in outraging our children to do this sort of thing.

I agree with Ed on the name of the game and it’s potential association – intended or unintended – with the movie. Ultimately it’s a balloon-popping game, like so many other balloon-popping games that have been used in youth ministry for years. “No rules” can sometimes lead to things getting a little out of hand, so I’d probably adapt it a little. Looks fun, though, and an outlet for young people’s needs to be social, a little competitive, creative and just silly sometimes.
