This is a really easy game to play just for fun or to set up a message on greed.

Watch the video to see the game in action:

(Video created by Delmar Peet)

The game in the video is more of an upfront game.

If you want everyone to participate, then play the game this way instead:

Give everyone a bunch of clothespins that students attach to their clothing.

The goal is to take other players clothespins off of them (only one at a time) and place it on yourself.

Students cannot block someone from taking clothespins off of them.

Players must allow other players to take remove their clothespins.

The best way for students to avoid losing clothespins is to move around the room.

The player with the most clothespins on them at the end of the game wins.

Topic of Greed – If you choose to use this game to open up a message on greed, then you’ll want to say something like this:

“In the game we just played, you were always reaching for more clothespins and were never satisfied with what you had (after all, that was the point of the game). Sort of like how in life we always want “more” stuff, friends, money, etc. When we selfishly want “more” whatever, that’s called greed.”

Enjoy the game!
